Campanero and Daniel Brown have been cut. So has Terrence Brooks who I thought played well. Sorry to see Brown go. Campi just could never stay healthy and now has a long history of injuries.

Just found out they cut Justin Forsett. They're going to go with Dixon, Allen, and West.

Cut so far:

RB Justin Forsett, WR Keenan Reynolds, QB Josh Johnson, OG Vladimir Ducasse, LB Arthur Brown, S Terrence Brooks, LB Brennen Beyer, WR Daniel Brown, WR Jeremy Butler, OT Blaine Clausell, DT Kapron Lewis-Moore, LB Victor Ochi, LB Patrick Onwausor, C Matt Skura, DB Julian Wilson

I was surprised that Terrance Brooks was cut. I don't know why they kept Elam over Brooks.

The Ravens parted ways with a few former draft picks, including Arthur Brown.

Wow...never saw Forsett coming...

And it kills me to lose Butler. I felt like he's the next Aiken.

Agree 150 %. Elam over Brooks? I dunno.

Reynolds cleared waivers, ravens want him back on the practice squad

Not sure why, he can't catch, can't field punts nor kick offs, is neither fast nor quick. Other than that, he is a great guy....

WR/KR Keenan Reynolds

The Ravens have high hopes for the former Navy quarterback, who is working to make the transition to receiver and return man. Adding him to the practice squad gives Reynolds time to learn under veteran returner Devin Hester, who the Ravens reportedly signed Sunday.

TE Daniel Brown

Brown could be a logical candidate to come up to the 53-man squad if any of the tight ends deal with more injury issues. The undrafted pass catcher out of James Madison was also on the practice squad for most of last season before getting called up to the active roster at the end of the year.

DE Kapron Lewis-Moore

The Ravens released the former sixth-round pick Saturday, but decided to bring him back to the practice squad after he cleared waivers. Lewis-Moore, who was selected in the 2013 draft, has played in five games during his time with the Ravens. He gives the defense an experienced player who could be pulled up to the active roster if an injury occurs to another defensive lineman.

OLB Brennen Beyer

The former Michigan linebacker, who went undrafted last year, is headed to Baltimore's practice squad for the second year in a row.

OT Blaine Clausell

Clausell garnered interest from some other teams, according to his agent, but decided to remain with the Ravens.

C Matt Skura

The Ravens signed Skura this spring after he went undrafted out of Duke. He’ll have a chance to learn under veteran centers Jeremy Zuttah and John Urschel.

LB Patrick Onwuassor

The undrafted rookie out of Portland State had a solid training camp and preseason, and he is a versatile linebacker who has the speed to run with tight ends in coverage. Onwuassor is a developmental player who can work under starters C.J. Mosley and Zachary Orr.

RB Stephen Houston

The Ravens brought back the running back after he had 79 rushing yards on 24 carries during the preseason. Houston is a 24-year-old running back who finished the preseason on a high note with 55 rushing yards.

These deals can fall through, but 6 of 10 PS spots appear filled: Reynolds, WR; Beyer, OLB; Skura, Clausell, OL; Lewis-Moore, DE; Brown TE

Not impressed. We cut a lot of potential talent. I hope they know what they're doing. For example, I believe we only have 2 healthy running backs for the first two games until Dixon gets back.

Looks like Forcett is back...

Forsett was able to be laid-back about the situation for it is he, and not the fans, who has played for five NFL teams in eight years since he entered the league as a Seattle Seahawks' seventh-round draft pick.

That thick skin, plus his extremely good rapport with the Ravens' organization and Baltimore community at large, served him well throughout his limbo period, which apparently has ended with his much-anticipated agreement to return to the Ravens this year.

According to a report by CBS Sports' Jason LaCanfora and quickly followed by other media outlets, the move will become official before the Ravens' Sept. 6 practice...https://www.pressboxonline.com/2016/09/05/reports-after-release-justin-forsett-agrees-to-return-to-ravens

Running back Justin Forsett is back with the Baltimore Ravens two days after being a surprise cut.

Why did the Ravens release their starting running back in the first place? It appears as if Baltimore did some shrewd roster maneuvering.

The Ravens wanted to make defensive tackle Carl Davis and safety Matt Elam candidates to be the one player who can be designated for return at midseason. In order for them to be eligible for this, Davis and Elam had to be on the 53-man roster for at least one day.

The Ravens found a way to make room for one of them that didn't involve cutting a young cornerback or lineman who can get claimed by another team. Baltimore released Forsett, who has played long enough that he doesn't have to pass through waivers. The only way Baltimore would lose Forsett is if he chose to sign with another team.

If the Ravens were certain Forsett would re-sign, this essentially allowed the Ravens to carry 55 players the last couple of days (the team also waited to officially sign returner Devin Hester until Elam and Davis were placed on IR).

Forsett didn't miss any preparation for Sunday's season opener against the Buffalo Bills. The Ravens didn't practice the past two days that Forsett was technically off the roster.

On Tuesday, when the Ravens take the practice field for the first time this week, Forsett will line up behind quarterback Joe Flacco and it'll be like he was never gone...http://www.espn.com/blog/baltimore-ravens/post/_/id/29728/ravens-deftly-orchestrate-roster-maneuver-with-justin-forsett

Great story and move.

Best news of the day.....-aside from the Os beating the Rays.

Really glad we brought him back. His veteran experience and added depth to the backfield is critical. Plus, he's a guy who seems to get it and cares about the community.

I like the guy and am glad he's back because we needed a guy who knew our system.

I will say, though, Forsett showed me nothing in pre-season. I fear he's on the downslope of his career.

I'll be happy when Dixon gets back.
