oldno82 Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 The Ravens are a dull team...http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/bs-sp-preston-column-0211-20170210-column.html Quote
varaven45 Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 Ahh.....a slow sports day indeed. The dog days of winter; baseball and the draft can't get here soon enough. Quote
oldno82 Posted February 14, 2017 Author Posted February 14, 2017 Hell, I'll even settle for the free agency period. Quote
cravnravn Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 Nail hit on the head on the comment about the Ravens disconnectING themselves from the fans after leaving Westminster. There is not enough ground around the castle to accommodate every fan that wants to attend camp. Quote
tsylvester Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 Oh but they are making major improvements to accommodate more fans. You will still have to "apply" oh "wrong" word, enter a contest to get a ticket to go to camp.. & season tickets are going up again.. Quote

ravinmaniac52 Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 You know it isn't easy or fun to get to the Raven's game, or and O's game. I am sure I could find an easier way, maybe I can't. Takes me 25-30 mins to drive to light rail, Then that 45 mins to and hour ride on the train, at times longer if it is that one female driver that slows down for everything. Walk UP a ramp off the train. Walk UP the ramp to get to 500 sections. Then I have to walk up all them step to get to row 17. Bring the buses back, please. Five min ride to White Marsh or Essex park and ride. Pay $5 for a ride right to the park. Game over bus is right there. Quote
tsylvester Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 Chin up rm, they are finally putting elevators and escalators to the upper deck..... Fans have only been screaming for them since the designs for the stadium came out ....... Quote
vmax Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 Unfortunately, they can't find the answers to getting a shutdown cornerback, big-time receiver or a top pass rusher. The offense is boring and predictable and the secondary can't cover. That was the season in a nutshell. Whose jersey do you buy? I wanted to get one this year but the good players that are drafted and developed are lost in the bidding war of free agency. i wanted a Williams jersey but knew the Ravens would lose him this offseason. There is so much turnover on this team year to year and the amazing thing is....they just keep getting older. papasmurfbell Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 You realize that the Pats have more turnover but they win? Quote

OutsideRzAcE Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 For me it's less about personalities and dullness than it is about losing the same way. Im tired of watching a team that can't adapt from half to half or game to game. I'm tired of crappy offense and blown leads. How many times have we predicted a close loss even when we were up or the game was close at halftime? When you know the script and it's a bad script it's not fun. Quote
RavenMad Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 What frustrates the hell out of me is we saw what the team could do in the Miami game at home. I think that was the game we started in the hurry up no huddle (or something similar) and looked brilliant. Then nothing. We didn't see that offense again the remainder of the season. Why the hell did we not just use that exclusively if it was working? Quote

It wasn't really a hurry up offense. Here's what happened; The Miami LB's are so bad in coverage that the Ravens coaching staff couldn't miss seeing it on film. With trepidation, they took a huge risk and actually planed to exploit this.It worked and the Ravens offensive unit was so excited at completing passes that they forgot themselves and their obligatory slow lumbering trot to the line, and instead they actually hurried to the line.Guys were so wide open that even check down Joe couldn't miss seeing them.
