The Ravens have been struck by injuries so far this offseason, but it's not time to panic....http://www.baltimoreravens.com/videos/videos/Byrne-Identity-Injuries-Hurt-But-Are-Just-Cause-for-Adjustments/321048aa-03f3-4eb9-9947-04f117cc8fd3

You will need to use your ER Posters Code Book to properly decipher the following statement...

There are likely future Ravens playing on other teams right now as Ozzie Newsome and John Harbaugh shuffle the roster......http://www.baltimoreravens.com/videos/videos/Byrne-Identity-Injuries-Hurt-But-Are-Just-Cause-for-Adjustments/321048aa-03f3-4eb9-9947-04f117cc8fd3

Correct Translation: There are likely future Ravens playing on other teams right now who will be cut because they have been deemed to be no better than Flounder as Ozzie Newsome and John Harbaugh perform triage on the roster.

Where's Kip Vickers when you need him!?

Another day, another injury concern for Ravens. Ravens safety Eric Weddle walked off with a trainer with about 30 minutes left in Sunday's practice. Backup OL Jermaine Eluemunor also left practice early and didn't return. WR Quincy Adeboyejo hurt his knee while catching a pass. He remained on the field but didn't participate in drills the rest of practice.

Is this CD on repeat?

Ravens starting left tackle Ronnie Stanley missed his second straight practice Aug. 14, adding more uncertainty to an offensive line that has been in flux throughout training camp.

The Ravens have not disclosed any reason for Stanley's absence, and head coach John Harbaugh has not addressed the media the past two days. On Aug. 14, the three coordinators held their weekly sessions with the media and they generally do not address the status of players not on the practice field.
Stanley did not show any signs of injury during the team practice at M&T Bank Stadium Aug. 12, his last workout. But an injury to Stanley would further complicate an offensive line that has rarely had the same five working together as the starters for two consecutive days.
"Typically if you look around football, the line plays together. Five or six guys play together, pretty much throughout the year," offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg said, "and that way you can stay pretty consistent. So yeah, it is important."
That has hardly been the case for the Ravens so far.
John Urschel, a candidate to start at center, retired abruptly as training camp began, and presumed starting left guard Alex Lewis was shut down last week with a shoulder injury that will require surgery. In addition, Pro Bowl guard Marshal Yanda has been easing back into action after offseason surgery.
The Ravens signed veteran tackle Austin Howard to a three-year deal Aug. 4, and he made his practice debut Aug. 12.
With Stanley out, James Hurst was the starting left tackle Aug. 14. Hurst had been the starting right tackle all spring and during training camp before the team signed Howard; once Howard was on the field, Hurst was shifted to left guard to fill the void left by Lewis' injury.
For now -- Aug. 14 at least -- the Ravens' line features Hurst at left tackle, Matt Skura at left guard, Ryan Jensen at center, Yanda at right guard and Howard at right tackle.
Of course, that could change tomorrow.
It's been difficult to get a true read on a Ravens offense that played the preseason opener against the Washington Redskins Aug. 10 without six presumed starters, including quarterback Joe Flacco and three offensive linemen. That could be the case in the second preseason game at Miami Aug. 17 as well.

This is the first I have heard of this.

Or maybe, they are finished.

I wouldn't go that far, as of now, but you are correct that when a team has to get back a center who was, for all intense purposes, cut, there are problems on that O-line. This is the weakest part of the team. Too many penalties on them and Zuttah will only make it worse.

It's the Ravens' second significant offensive line addition since the start of training camp, as they also signed right tackle Austin Howard two weeks ago.http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Ravens-Bring-Back-Center-Jeremy-Zuttah-to-Bolster-Thin-Interior-Offensive-Line/8240881a-6574-4540-8c35-22e94c3a1212

Huh!??? :cryin:

Still, to find such a player and fit midway through training camp is a big break for Baltimore.

"I'm really proud of the way they're working at it and making it what we can," Head Coach John Harbaugh said of the injury-riddled offensive line after Thursday's game. "I think we're going to be a good offensive line before it's all said and done." http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Ravens-Bring-Back-Center-Jeremy-Zuttah-to-Bolster-Thin-Interior-Offensive-Line/8240881a-6574-4540-8c35-22e94c3a1212

You don't think he is going to say we suck do ya?

You have to have faith as a coach, pump them up.

on the most part the o line has played fine with all the plugging in they have done and yes as the season rolls out they get use to each other, they understand each other. They will get better.

The Jags coach pretty much said his qbs suck...

"It's this simple: I'm looking for the best person to lead this offense," Marrone told reporters, per John Oehser of the team's website. "[The QB position] is right up there for grabs, and either person can take it."

Marrone added, on Bortles: "It's not like he's not the quarterback. He's got to go earn it."

Never heard his say that anyone sucks.

Think this is the way to set fire to his QBs, and Bortles hasn't looked good at this time.
