Brown 6 catches for 113 yards. 18.8 ypc and a TD.

We got Oweh from the Brown trade

Have you seen the standings?  I dont think I have ever seen so many 1-1 records before.

That's good for the Ravens. This was almost a must win game even though there are 15 games left. Lot of good teams in the AFC. Lot of football to be played. Some of the Ravens will be back in a week or 2.

What would Gus and JK do???? 350 yards?

Ravens win on 3rd down. KC was 1 for 6. Ravens 6 for 11, Ravens win time of possession 34 minutes to 24

Just a really thrilling and satisfying win! We beat these guys finally with a bunch of reserves and a bad start by Lamar. You couldn't write a script this good.

Thanks to Max and his daughter!!!

That is why I had this chalked up as a win months ago.  I thought the run game was going to really put it to KC.

There are certain things a team has to do to get to a Super Bowl. For the Ravens it's beat the Chiefs. The Chiefs will be in their way as long as they have Mahomes.

In 2000, I think the second game of the season the Ravens played the Jaguars, who they have never beaten, and won that game. Banks to Sharpe for the TD. A milestone game.

Also Winning in Nashville was big because they never had...maybe nobody had.

Now the Ravens know they can beat the Chiefs who they will assuredly meet in the playoffs should they get there.

Huge win.

Wow, what a game to wake up to this am! The defense shuts down the best offense in the NFL, in the 4th quarter!

The offense scores 12 in the 4th to win!

200 yards rushing, the backs looked great, even with a luck bounce at the goal line to start the game.

Sweet!

I'm still not sure why Lamar threw that 2nd int, bracket coverage, not one but both safeties at the goal line, someone else had to be open but he just locked on Brown... Nonetheless, he came through, they came through and hey, we might have found an offensive line

Watched this last night in real time with ZERO expectations and it was great.  Mekari better stay at RT and Villanueva can stay at LT until Stanley gets healthy, then he can be the swing.

This was great.  I still don't think we throw all the money at Lamar, but he definitely got my respect more tonight.

Raiders are good and I'm glad we went toe to toe with them.

Beating the Chiefs was purifying all the crap at the end of the game last week.

You have to pay him, sure, his running won't last forever, maybe by the time it does stop he will learn to make all of the throws like all of the other quarterbacks do each week.

Till then, he helps the running game, we win more than we lose, there will always be a chance to win a super bowl.

He is not worth Mahomes money, so hopefully he is reasonable.

YEah Harbs tried desperately to give that one away.  Had the Ravens lost he more than anyone would have been at fault.  Going for 2 after the penalty was pure and sumple stupid.  Then he was forced to do it the 2nd time.  Getting him a miricle play by Oweh saved him.

There is no way I pay him.  Unless it is Ravens friendly with him making less than 15% of the cap on any given yr it isnt worth it.  It is obvious he needs a lot of talent around to thrive.  He cant have it with a market deal.

 There are so many highlights and great plays. A lot of game changers.

It was a gutsy run by Jackson and a nearly unprecedented call by Harbaugh. Since 2000, this marked only the second time that a team went for it on fourth down in the final two minutes of a game when leading by less than a field goal, according to ESPN Stats & Information research.  Baltimore Ravens' Lamar Jackson on finally beating Kansas City Chiefs - 'Feels good to get that monkey off of our back' (espn.com)

You are so wrong. He was missing 8 starters on offense. then Rlliott, Brandon Williams, Peters, Smith and Wolf missing on defense.

This team was hamstrung on Sunday Night Football against the Chiefs. Nobody but Tirico picked the Ravens to overcome this. Lamar put this team and game on his back. The Ravens had no shot to win this game minus that many players with any other QB in the NFL.

Stop doubting Lamar Jackson, who has proven he has unique place among NFL's elite QBs

Quote

Maybe it’s time to stop asking the questions.

Maybe, after Sunday night’s 36-35 comeback victory over nemesis Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, it’s time to accept the fact that Lamar Jackson is never going to play quarterback in accordance with some Quarterbacking 101 guide. He’s not even going to play the position like Mahomes, regarded by many as the gold standard for this generation of quarterbacks. But the Baltimore Ravens quarterback is, however, fully capable putting his team on his back and carrying it to victories while utilizing a special array of talents that few can duplicate and that defenses will continually struggle to stop.

That’s what elite quarterbacks do, right?

And maybe – just maybe – we can allow that to be enough....Lamar Jackson has left no doubt he's a uniquely elite NFL QB (usatoday.com)

Hollywood UDFA? Same with Watkins?  Donta Freeman, Latavius Murray, and Villanueva have never been pro bowler?  Powers, Cleveland, and Andrews were all drafted so late in the draft?  Bozeman came from some nothing school?  Seems to me he has been surrounded by quite a lot of expected talent.  This is even after all the injuries.

LOL. You're reaching too far. You can never make your point.

What do my words say?  9 guys on his side of the ball all have pedigrees.  That is a hell of a lot more talent than some QBs in this league.

Oweh beats Brown. Biggest play of the game.

Quote

Turning point

The Chiefs moved easily into Ravens territory for the final two minutes of action, threatening to run out the clock on their way to a game-winning field goal. In possession with 1:25 to go, from Baltimore's 32, they instead fell victim to Ravens rookie Oweh, who beat Orlando Brown Jr. to force the Edwards-Helaire fumble, then recover the ball himself. From there, the Ravens went on to run the clock out themselves....Ravens vs. Chiefs score, takeaways: Lamar Jackson ends losing skid vs. Mahomes in wild shootout victory - CBSSports.com

Oweh was in on the key play too.

with K.C. leading 35-24 deep in the third quarter with the ball near midfield. On the play, Mahomes moved up in the pocket to avoid the rush, but rookie Odafe Oweh shed a block and hogtied the quarterback by the legs. As he fell to the turf, Mahomes tried to make a play but instead turned the ball over.

"Yeah, I should have just thrown it to WR Demarcus Robinson in the flat, then I saw 'Trav' [Travis Kelce] come back to me," Mahomes said after the game. "When dude grabbed my leg, I thought I could get my other leg down. He spun me, and it was a dumb interception. Probably one of the worst interceptions I've probably ever had."Patrick Mahomes on 'dumb' pick, his first in September: 'One of the worst interceptions I've probably ever had' (nfl.com)

I did that last week Dee.  In mid may I did a prediction.

Last of the west coast swings done in week 4.  Interesting how we have 4 straight home games but only 2 games on the road at a time.

Just eyeballing this I think they can pull 4 straight wins.  I am seeing 13 wins.

I just eyeballed Cle also.  I see 14 wins.  I am not sure if a lot of teams have these lopsided schedules but I see some early damage being done for Cle and Bmore.

You might want to get your facts straight.

Yeah I'm not a fan of chasing points, get the high from scoring a touchdown only to lose a bit of it from failing the conversion. Kick the extra point be happy.

Posted

Hey the first one made sense.  Its cool.  Make them get a TD.  The 2nd was only to fix the mistake on the first.  I really wish they would go back where you can fake the extra point.  Why would the league eliminate something thats exciting?

Win a playoff game or two, make that game changing throw, don't make that stupid int or fumble that costs the team. That stupid stiff arm/push on the sidelines, these and many more are poor decisions he makes every game, especially in the playoffs.

Yes, doubt Lamar, because he makes the same mistakes over and over
