  1. Congrats and good game Preacher.
  2. I guess Boldin got the ball too much for Mason. We'll probably throw 50% of the passes next week to Mason.
  3. I think both are a problem to a degree. I worry about them protecting Joe because they think its not going to be pretty if they let him loose. Whatever it is how we play offensively against good teams isn't cutting it. You cannot have one good drive, or take a half off and expect to win. I cannot believe people are blaming the defense or bitching about not going for the field goal. The defense was good tonight and the decision to go for it was sound. Do you think there is a better chance of your kicker kicking a 49 yard FG into the wind or do you think your offense can pick up 2 yards?
  4. This game is one of the biggest of the year with a lot on the line and that's the effort we had? They were beat up and battered, we received numerous calls that helped us, and a number of non-calls that helped (can we please stop whining about the officials now, we have had a pretty beneficial year from them), and they dropped a few key 3rd down passes. Yet we put up a measly 10 points letting them hang around then serve up the game on a silver platter to them. Landry had a few issues and wasn't good, Nakamura hurt us a few times, and Suggs was annoying trying to strip the ball instead of getting the same but I have a hard time blaming a defense that gave up 13 points and gave up its only touchdown after a turnover starting the Steelers on the 10 yard line. Dumbo Joe (maybe harsh but more accurate than Joe Cool or Bazooka Joe IMO) and the offense had one good drive. Typical for them against good defenses in Joes career so far. Six three and outs. The end zone fades in the 3rd? Awful calls, awful passes. When the game was on the line we had two straight 3 and outs then a huge fumble. I'm not thrilled with all of the play calling but that doesn't mean I think Flacco was anything better than bad. The long pass to Housh off his back foot, the short pass to Dickson and the bounce pass to end the game were the exclamation point on his and the offenses crappy night. Long term Joe may turn out to be a good QB, maybe even a franchise QB. However I feel right now that this team cannot go deep in the playoffs with him as our QB. Especially with our hot and cold running game.
  5. I don't think Anderson went too far at all.
  6. Maybe so, but you wont convince me that they were content coming out of the locker room to sit on the lead they had. Either way I am happy, I would have just been a little happier with something offensively the second half.
  7. Overall I am pretty happy with the game today. I'd be very happy if they had gotten some points in the 2nd half, even a FG. I know a couple of calls went against them, or were not made, but even a FG ices the win earlier. Joe had a good day, I cannot fault him for not finding targets if his primary is not open, the last few weeks he has numerous times. Nice job by Rice and the line in running out the clock. I think we need to get Boldin the ball more. Hes a great player who isn't being used to his potential in my opinion.
  8. LOL about 5 years ago I felt similar. I commented here about how I was far more interested in the Ravens and their games than any other, but how just about any other game I watched each week was more exciting than ours was. I think we were a boring drab team to watch for a couple of seasons. The defense was good, not great, and the offense was bad and vanilla. I was told variations of "if you really like the team then this game will be the most entertaining to you" or "who cares about that if they win". I understand the sentiments but I disagreed. Beyond the wins and losses this is a show, a product, and some teams are certainly more entertaining than others. Some are good, some are not so good. Either way, I think they are much better and more exciting to watch now.
  9. Because they didn't complain last week. The squeaky wheel gets the grease. Almost half of Joes pass attempts were to Mason.
  10. Most coach speak is kind of the same to me. People used to complain about Billick's answers to questions posed, I don't hear much difference in substance from him to Harbaugh. Or any random coach.
  11. *sigh* I wish I had a job writing for Yahoo sports. Knock something out in 5 minutes and send it away. Collect paycheck. Next week it will probably be: One Sunday, Six INTs - Has The NFL Figured Out The Mannings? (if they go absurd) Brett Favre, Past His Prime? (If they go obvious)
  12. I wonder if I would like it now....I like it as a kid but I also liked Burger King, McDonalds, Wendys, etc then and think most of them are garbage now. I would like to try a Ginos now, but I wont make a trip there to.
  13. My thoughts. Yes, it was closer than it should have been later than it should have been but the Panthers were never poised to take the lead. Yes, if we played the same way against a good team we may have gotten into more trouble, but we can only play the team we are playing each week. A win on the road even against a bad team is good in my book. I think Flacco was really good, maybe his best game ever in my opinion. Two defensive TDs in 11 seconds! That doesnt even sound possible but we did it.
  14. I agree with the sentiment for this game. Its the Craven curse that worries me. I don't recall if it is a board curse as well...
  15. Thanks Dee! For the one I posted you need to play the song they used in the Roxbury movie.
  16. My attempt, I dont know what I am doing but this makes me laugh. Disco Joe Flacco.
  17. Luckily it will be back for 13 next year. Cool books too.
  18. The defense was at least decent most of the first half of the season. Now 2 out of the last 3 weeks its been bad. I figured out why! Ed Reed. He comes back and the defense goes to hell. Cut him now!
  19. I feel the same way, hoping that is changing. I know you like his looks, but Jensen is also a much better actor than Jared. Jared makes me laugh sometimes when he is not supposed to.
  20. Finally caught up to date. Spoilers below!
  21. Cravn where did you get the Boller shakey head gif a couple of years ago? I'd like to get this made into a shakey head avatar and I dont know how.

    Week 10

Flacco makes plenty of mistakes, just not as many or as bad as Boller. He can be risky too, forcing the ball and throwing into double coverage. Flacco also has superior weapons, at least this season and last, than Boller had. But I do think he better than Boller, I am just amused that pretty much from day one the fans have been behind him. I am not complaining, its a good thing.
