I've been around a long time and I've never seen a team's secondary as decimated as ours is. And new guys I've never heard of keep rotating in as the previous ones go down. When you think about it, it's pretty amazing the defense has held up as well as it has. The DL and LB's are doing just a great job.
True enough. But he's overpaid and Jernigan is ready to play. Now if Ngata is willing to revise his contract for less money (like Brady did a while back) it would be worth considering.
If they can trade Ngata, go for it. If not, cut him. I don't think it's a great idea to pay a DT the $16,000,000 he'll be owed. Plus, even with dead money there would be cap savings.
Well I'm worried about Houston away and Cleveland. We should win all 3 games that are left but this year's team performance has been almost impossible to predict.
Dennison is a definite possibility but he'd could wind up as Kubiak's OC as he's been very loyal to him. Maybe Kubiak has had his fill of head coaching and will stay.
Are we gonna be able to get him to stay here? Assistant Coach title a la Rex? More money? Both? http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Eisenberg-Exploring-How-To-Keep-Gary-Kubiak-In-Baltimore-/7841492d-b800-46c4-b720-5529858242d2
Some great blocking shown in this loop from the Miami game. Forsett knocks the snot out of a 245 lb linebacker who's blitzing. On the sneak, we know Yanda, Osemele and Zuttah are tough but Monroe showed me something in that clip as he bulldozes his opponent into the ground. http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/What-You-Missed-In-Dolphins-Game/7b3ede52-c637-46e2-8505-e7518feb9069
Playing the Texans at their home stadium has me the most worried. Cleveland can kill us too if we're careless. These days it seems any NFL team can beat any other so watch out for the Jaguars too though I know that's our easiest game of the season.
Writers: Check out John Eisenberg who does columns once a week on the ravens website. He used to work for The Sun and he's got a steady approach to the team with no axes to grind. I don't listen much to radio sports shows so someone else will have to step up for that one.
Welcome to the site. I hope you'll still be here at the end of season and going forward. I used to hate the Redskins back in the 60's because they screwed the Colts over when Baltimore got a team. But even I have forgotten about that now. I started to change my opinion when Lombardi went to coach there. Snyder's a mess to be sure. Getting back to the Ravens, it seems like every game they've played this year has been a big game. Hard to say what's going to happen after the regular season's over.
