  1. The Browns are solid, Papa. There not the old Browns anymore. The Ravens showed true grit.
  2. You're right, Cleetz. I forgot about the lease.
  3. I can't possibly see this franchise ever recovering from this scandal under the current ownership. I liked, admired, and trusted Bisciotti. No more. And say goodbye to local ownership. I don't think Baltimore has that many billionaires. I can even imagine some outsider buying this team and moving it to L.A.
  4. If they can do this successfully then the season outlook would be excellent.
  5. More disgusting news: http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/story/ray-rice-baltimore-ravens-displayed-pattern-of-misinformation-misdirection-report-says-091914
  6. Here's a sobering stat from the Ravens' website: "In three career games against Pettine (two with the Jets and one with the Bills), Flacco completed 46.2 percent of his throws for two touchdowns, seven interceptions and a 47.8 passer rating. "
  7. Webb has to play and be as effective as he was before the back problem. I think he starts.
  8. Gonna be tough game. Ravens could just as easily lose or win. I think we stop the run see and see if Hoyer can beat us. Cleveland also has a tough D but I think after a few series we'll be able to move the ball decently.
  9. Wagner has been a super surprise. If he can keep it up, I'll agree with Prisco.
  10. Ngata needs show more. A lot more if he wants to escape being cut next year because of his cap number.
  11. Crav, I hope you're right!
  12. I agree. The Browns will be tough. Hard to pick a winner just yet.
  13. Can't say it was his best but Harbs and the coaches did great to keep the players up and focused.
  14. Great post, T-bird. Really appreciated!
  15. The blocking was good and the offense was what I've been looking for. But let's see how consistent they are over the next few games.
  16. Elam finally had a good game. Now all he has to do is string them together.
  17. I've been following pro football for 56 years. There have been a ton of domestic violence cases come up for the NFL and then they just disappear. I think Jim Brown had 3 instances of DV.
  18. His reaction, or lack thereof, was the nail in the coffin.
  19. it was also good to see Ngata actually do something.
  20. The offense was clicking like it did in pre-season so I think it might actually be something special if Joe can stay accurate in the short to medium range passes. It's amazing to me how he could look so off last week and then turn around and be super accurate last night. He was also making the quick throws which I didn't see the offense doing that much of last week. I'm rooting for Kubiak. The defense is a bend don't break defense. I've never liked that strategy. And it keeps them on the field too long. We've got to get the pressure on opposing quarterbacks like we did last night. Last week the pass rush got easily and repeatedly stuffed. Last night was the way it has to be to go deep this year. I don't think I'm a Dean Pees fan. Starting to wonder if Suggs' career is over. His absence has really been felt.
  21. I think Webby will be back against the Browns.
  22. That game was just the tonic I needed to get over this past week's problems. Great effort! Steve Smith, Owen Daniels, Joe Flacco and a stout defense won this game for the Ravens. One more thing. Rick Wagner is the real deal. He's better than solid. His pass protection and run blocking are both above average. I saw him a couple of times blocking linebackers after disposing of his lineman. Give Harbs credit too. I blamed him last week for not having his team ready to play. That was far from the case tonight. Glad I've got this game on my DVR.
  23. Totally agree and have no idea why they even came out throwing in the 1st quarter.
  24. I agree with that part.
  25. Yeah but the team has some leverage over Flacco, By the time the third year is over and you go into the 4th year, his cap hit is higher than the dead money that would accrue. At that point they could trade him or cut him. There's no way they should take on a $28 million cap hit.
