  1. Cam did well but it is hard to determine if he was calling the plays during the 2 minute drill or if it was Joe. BTW Flacco looks SO comfortable in that shotgun.
  2. Well...better than nothing but I don't know why they don't show the whole game since it was so close. Thanks for posting!!
  3. When somebody hears when this is going to be replayed on the NFL channel this week (it will be I hope), please post here. Thanks!
  4. I was thinking the same thing about the 2 minute drive and how it reminded me of the old Baltimore Colts. Johnny U must be happy.
  5. Another key play was Suggs' INT of Roethlisberger deep in our territory ending a scoring drive for them. And before anybody complains about Flacco's fumble (and he does need to work on ball security---Zorn had helped him with that last year), Brady had at least 2 picks yesterday and Roethlisberger had that INT. Flacco didn't throw any and had several dropped balls to boot. Where did 'thesteelhurtin' go??? You can bet he would have been here today roasting us if his team had won.
  6. I didn't see 'Smiley' smiling yesterday!!
  7. I'd give the game balls to Flacco, Boldin (who kept that drive alive even though he dropped one), and Cam. Yes even Cam gets a game ball from me.
  8. Flacco silenced all the critics. Cam had a great 2-minute drive. Where's 'thesteelhurtin'---I wanted to tell him where to stuff his terrible towel!

    Week 9

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC FINISH!!!!!!!! GREAT FOR FLACCO AND SMITH! We'll see Pittsburgh at home in the playoffs!
  10. I agree that we can't be a ground pound it team as varaven has pointed out. Ray Rice doesn't have the build to hammer and the OL is suspect there without Grubbs as well. Plus, the most successful offenses in the league right now are pass-first, run-second---its the way the rules are currently configured.
  11. Cool quote from Ray!
  12. After watching that game my nerves are shot! Awful first half, stupendous second half. Jekyll and Hyde offense. But we won and I'm happy because it did show a lot of character and talent to rally like that on offense and win it. Kudos for Joe, Torrey, Anquan, and the 'D' in the second half. Pride came through and so did emotion---finally!
  13. He's providing advice to Cam every other week---!
  14. There's pros and cons both ways so far as firing Cam now as opposed to the end of the season. My biggest problem with it is that he's also the QB coach so I don't know who would actually call the plays. On the other hand, maybe Joe should call his own plays---and hopefully he'll execute them(?)!
  15. Thanks. Thats one less thing to worry about on top of the 1000 others we have with the offense.
  16. Had to ask. I saw him go down late in the game---did he get an injury? If he did, its another body blow to an already reeling offense.
  17. Joe is not a leader and never will be. He's a decent technician quarterback but he'll never be elite. Still, the O-line and WRs were absolutely horrible last night...no time to throw and nobody open to throw to. It was on tape the whole night. Bisciotti and Harbs will have to let Cam go after the season---or maybe even before.
  18. And you know this how? I distinctly remember crossing patterns that worked in Flacco's first year with Clayton catching the ball over the middle. Not since though.
  19. Lousy offensive lines and receivers that can't get open in man-to-man do that too. Cam should go but to do it now probably wouldn't help as its way too late to implement a new offensive system this season.
  20. Glad to hear Jimmy Smith is back. I haven't seen enough to be definite but he gives me the impression he could be an All-Pro someday. I love his press coverage.
  21. Good for Suggs! That says a lot about what the Ravens on the team think about Joe.
  22. The idea of Boldin, Evans, and Smith as the top three receivers makes me drool. I hope he makes it back next month.
  23. True. I hope we get some of those guys back and soon.
  24. The defense has been truly impressive, especially the front 7. I think we could use Jimmy Smith though and I hope he comes back.
  25. I'm not at all sure we would have won that game if Houston had their premier pass rusher and WR...I wouldn't want to face them again in the playoffs. I think the Houston media is being way too tough on them.
