I wouldn't make that deal. I did have some good feelings about using Mark to move up in the draft.
-
I don't know. I guess I do feel a loyalty to Andrews since he's been a big contributor to Lamar's growth as a passer. Maybe it's because I'm old that I feel like he's being thrown on the scrap heap because of his age when he's still productive. Likely is the safest option if it comes down to a choice between the two from a GM's perspective. Hunter is out of his mind.
-
If they can't get a 2nd round pick for him, keep him. I think he's got a few more years of good football left in him. It will be interesting to see how Hunter is utilized by the team that drafts him. I can't believe he'll be effective as a 2 way player in the NFL.
-
I wouldn't trade him for less than a 2nd despite his late season woes.
-
An starting edge rusher or a starting safety would make me happy. One or the other should be available at 27. I don't see Eric moviing up or down. I think it will wind up with us staying put.
-
I'm all in with you on wanting Hamilton to go back to being what he was doing in 2023.
-
Well whenever they do get around to picking the edge rusher, there's 2 things I'm going to look for: 1) I want to see us draft a guy who has both power and speed instead of what we've been drafting lately which have been primarily speed guys, 2) A guy who wasn't injured in '24 and put up really good numbers. In short, no Oweh's or Ojabo's!

I do have complaints about several characteristics of Harbs' coaching, but I also know he's got more pluses than negatives. Things I wish he was better at: Time management, playing talented rookies earlier, knowledge of X's and O's. Things he does well: Motivation, organization, accountability, drafting and free agent input. All in all, I'd give him a solid B as a head coach.

Yep, the pass rush affects the secondary and vice versa. At least we won't be watching Brandon Stephens sticking like glue to receivers who wind up making the catch after all because Stephens can't track the ball. We need both guys of the types you mentioned. Here's what Kiper thinks: https://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/mel-kiper-loves-malaki-starks-ravens-nick-emmanwori-kevin-winston-jonas-sanker.

I think he'll do well enough to keep us going in the right direction. After all is said and done, our roster is pretty solid and no team has a perfect roster these days. Every team has weaknesses.
-
Tough choice for me between Starks and Pearce. Think I'd go with Pearce because our pass rush needs a more consistent dirsruptor but Starks would make me happy too...he sounds like he's in the Kyle Hamilton mode.
-
Now that he's done it would be a mistake to squander any of our scarce resources on him.
-
I hope so.

I gotta tell ya, the cap rules are just freaking crazy!
-
Like I said before, I'm cool with all the proposed changes especially the move up to 35yd line on touch-back kickoffs and the each side gets a chance in OT, but the tush push belongs in the dumpster.
-
I don't know---don't they get a lesser cap hit if it is after June 1?
-
A shame about Tucker but he brought in on himself. I agree they should draft one and sign an undrafted free agent. Only if it looks like we couldn't get a young guy we wanted would I want them to go for an existing or former NFL kicker.
-
I agree with the adopted rule changes but I do want to see them end the tush push. I'd like to revert back to the pre-2005 rule against helping a runner by pulling or pushing him. It just looks like a rugby scrum to me.
-
What about a kicker? Do we draft one or gamble that Tucker plays or that we can pick up one as an unsigned rookie after the draft? I know a lot depends on the outcome of the NFL investigation but that seems to be taking on a life of its own.
-
I could see us taking him as a day3 pick but I would hope they investigate his work ethic heavlly.
-
Well, I honestly don't know. It looks like if he can get his hands on you, you're dead, but is he capable of collapsing the pocket with the quicker and big NFL O-linemen?
-
I just don't know about this guy. Cody still stings. Any tape on this guy that's available to see?
-
Yeah it's true we have been down that road before with bad results.
-
He does irk me sometimes but you can't complain about his results in the regular season and stability is important. I figure this is his last contract and then it's off to retirement.
