The rumor mill has Reggie Bush being released by the Saints. I would be very interested if we could turn him into a slot receiver. Cam would cream his pants with all those reverses he could run with Bush instead of Stallworth!

I think I read somewhere that Free Agency would begin when the lockout ended and teams would hold the rights to their free agents until then allowing them to negotiate "exclusively" until free agency began. The talk around the senior bowl was that the draft could come before free agency if no agreement was reached by the end of March. That is not great for Ozzie as he likes to fill holes in free agency and then draft BPA but I'm sure we can make it work.

As much as I would love to get a shutdown corner, we already have a lot of money tied up in that area (especially if/when we resign Wilson/Carr) and the money could be better spent upgrading the O-Line and pass rush.

I have that Billick feeling all over again. The Biscuit took Billick to task over his handling of the team and told him to change or he was history. Everything went well for a season and then it fell apart and Billick got canned. Does anyone else see Biscuit telling Harbaugh or directly to Cam that he has to change his ways or the Ravens will move on without him? Or has Steve learned his lesson from Billick and will go with his gut and ask for a change to be made immediately on offense?

Mike Pouncey has been awful as a C but he would be a great G in the NFL. Florida has had a lot of trouble with Shotgun snaps and QB/C exchanges this season so the last thing we need is more trouble for Flacco handling the snap. I still want Gabe Carimi to man our RT spot and stick with Oher at LT that is if Gaither is definitely done in Baltimore and then pick up a C a little later in the draft. There are also going to be a lot of versatile DEs available at our pick. Guys like Cameron Heyward, JJ Watt and Adrian Clayborne that could play LE in a 4-3 or DE in a 3-4 are very interesting picks that could provide a pass rush upgrade for us. There are also a few pass rushing DE/OLB types that our touted to be available around where we pick like Cam Jordan from Cal or Justin Houston from Georgia that could really upgrade our team.

Looking on the bright side, we have the 26th pick in the 2011 draft. The last time we picked 26th we got future Hall of Famer Ray Lewis. I'm hoping lightning strikes twice.

The Chargers even "drafted" Rivers in the 1st because they didn't think Brees was going to make it. Flacco is ahead of the curve at this point in his career. But it is time for him to take the next step.

They got their kid running the show now but he has been seeking the advice of Ed DeBartolo throughout the offseason. It was Ed's advice that led York to hire a GM before a coach and involve that GM thoroughly in the hiring of a new coach. That seems like a smart move if you ask me.

Is it a problem with the routes or a problem with the WRs. I'm thinking a bit of both. It seems to me that if the WR fails to find a hole in the zone coverage to sit down in he just gives up on the play and doesn't attempt to get open when Joe scrambles. The one thing I did notice was there were a lot more quick hitting routes being run against the Chiefs which helped Joe with the pass rush especially the crossing routes which got Heap open a lot and Housh's big catch and run came on a crossing route. More of that please Cam.

I'm not a techno geek or anything but as far as I can tell you the only real difference is the speeds available. 4G is much quicker but you still shouldn't have any problems playing PS3 on a 3G connection unless you are playing GT5.

That is what I mean by taking too many halves of football on. We either start hot and go into a shell at half time or start slow and then get hot in the 2nd half when we need to. Replicate that 2nd half for 4 full games starting from the 1st minute of the Chiefs game and we get ourselves a Superbowl.

What is all this talk about the Steelers in the AFC Title game. We are going to be playing them in the next round after Rex gets his Payton Manning jinx sorted and the Jets go up to Foxboro. Ideal scenario, we get the Jets at home for the AFC Title game with an offense that has just put up 70 points in 2 road playoff games!

That drive right there gives me the hope that one day Joe will make it into the "elite" category of top 3 or 4 QBs. At the moment he still takes too many halves of football off. If he can replicate what he did on that drive in Pittsburgh on a more regular basis then we will start to dominate teams offensively.

I think the problem is perception Crav. The coaches told us they perceived this team to be a serious Superbowl contender and an elite team. All I have saw is a team that looks like they have an extra gear to kick into but for whatever reason hasn't been able to achieve the level of play expected by so many. I don't think it is any 1 factor that has caused it but a combination of coaching, play calling, injuries and age. That said, we have still managed to win 9 games so far and could finish the season 12-4! I think 1 big unexpected win could kick start the team and carry us right through the playoffs but we are running out of games to get this train running.

I think he is worth a late 1st rounder. He looked really good against Clayborn who is a 1st round prospect at DE (and someone who I wouldn't mind the Ravens drafting as well). He started the season slow but by the end of the season he was looking better and better. I just love his run blocking skills and I think the RT spot would suit him as he wouldn't face as many speed rushers off the edge as LTs plus I think we are committed to Oher at LT. Really we have so many needs this offseason it isn't really funny. We need at least 2 O-Linemen with a C and then either a Guard to keep Yanda at RT or a RT to move Yanda back to guard. We will also need to draft another WR at some point as I don't see Mason or Housh returning. We need to get a proper FB in and move McLain to RB full time or get a compliment to Ray and keep McLain at FB full time. I don't see us bringing McGahee back when/if the cap returns. We need 2 pass rushers. Someone inside to play the Pryce role and someone on the outside to compliment Suggs. Kindle could fill that role but we need to be proactive in getting someone in just in case he doesn't make it. Besides that, you can never have too many pass rushers. We need to get an ILB that can take on blocks and make tackles around the line of scrimmage. Someone with football smarts that doesn't shoot the wrong holes like McLain does. Unlike most people I don't see us drafting a CB early unless we have a clear out. I think that Carr, Webb and Wilson will be back and add Foxworth coming off his injury to the mix and that will be the core of the CB rotation. We will likely pick someone up from free agency for depth. I see us drafting a safety at some point and more likely a SS. The more and more I watch Landry the less I am inclined to see him resign.

After watching our O-Line play I would love to get Gabe Carimi from Wisconsin for the RT spot. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zin3JvllXm0

WTF was Ray playing at?!?! That was stupid, he should have been blocking for the return rather than trying to force the fumble on his own guy.
-
That was Gooden's best piece of defense of the season so far with that tackle on Reed!

lmao @ Seymour punching dicklessberger.

I have to agree with Valkenburg on this one. Suggs got a sack on Henne when he knifed between the Center and Guard. I can't remember where he was lined up on the play and whether it was a stunt but having him try to beat the tackle all day long isn't working and this seemed to breathe life into the pass rush. I'm still wondering how much the loss of Sergio Kindle has had on our pass rush. Granted you can't rely on a rookie for any sort of production but I see a lot of Suggs in Kindle coming out of college and I think he could have been a really nice compliment to Suggs off the edge. Those 2 guys rushing off the edge would have opened even more holes for Ngata and Redding rushing up the middle. Oh well, lets hope we see it next season.

Yeah it is curious indeed dc. We are already experiencing rumblings of discontent in the UK over our coalition government and their policies of public spending cuts yet they were voted in because of the mess the Labour government made of things. There just seems to be very obvious parallels between the 2 situations. The guys that are in there now trying to fix things and get everything going again are the ones facing all the abuse and people seem to be quick to want those that got them into the trouble in the first place to get back into power.

Ok, can I get an explanation on how his administration has been deemed socialist?

Just got back home from the London game and I have to say that I was mildly impressed with Troy Smith. Because of his connection to the Ravens I cheered him on. However, I still saw things from him that will lose him his starting job in the future. The throw before his TD run was just plain dumb and was the sort of throw I was getting used to seeing from him. If it wasn't for his WR bailing him out with an amazing catch that would have had turnover written all over it. That said, I could actually see Troy saving Singletary's job for him. If they can some how get through to a 9-7 finish on the year. Still, I would expect to see the 49ers draft another QB high in 2011. On a side note, teams that have won in London have won a Superbowl in either the same season or the season after their Wembley victory. It will be interesting to see if we can stop the Patriots from repeating the trend.

As an outside observer to the US political system, could someone explain to me why Obama and the democrats got beat so bad in the mid-terms? Everything I have read about his policies seems to suggest that in 2 years he has already delivered, or is in the process of delivering on a lot of his campaign promises. So what gives?
