vmax Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 I haven't seen the video.I want to cut ties with him.I don't want to see him in a Ravens uniform this year. 1 Quote
papasmurfbell Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 He can't be suspended any longer. The CBA prevents double jeopardy. Quote

GrubberRaven Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Totally agree Max. Plus the hug between Rice and Biciotti on the day of the the announcement. Ugh...Ravens look horrible right now. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 It is just not going to happen. Quote
Robjr83 Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Not going happen. Biscuit has stated Ray's our guy Quote
Geronimo Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Ray is not going anywhere, at least not this year, so get over it. we all knew what he did and now that the video is out you're up in arms. the video could have been a lot worse, he hit her one time, and we knew that he hit her at least one time because she was out cold, but he could have really beat her ass but it was just one punch 1 Quote
varaven45 Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 This Ray Rice debacle has become quite the tar baby and circus show. The resulting karma could really derail our season and set this franchise back if the powers that be don't quickly nip this in the bud. Thank God we have the Orioles in the post season this fall. What an irony! Quote

vmax Posted September 8, 2014 Author Posted September 8, 2014 The Ravens need to take a stand that this type of behavior will not be tolerated.A serious suspension. ..at least 8 games...sends the message.Second offense...permanent ban from NFL. I'm booing him when I see him take the field but I don't believe in hating for life. He was a very good man and still can be that. 1 Quote
thesteelhurtin Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 I'm personally loving the distraction heading into this game. Quote
rastaman831226 Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 I refuse to get the " vapors " over this issue. This matter has been settled with the Rce family, the commissioner, and the Ravens organization. When Ray Rice returns from his 2 game suspension and scores his first TD, this issue will quickly be forgotten. 1 Quote

Robjr83 Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 He ain't President Rice, or Reverend Rice. How can we as Ravens fans be so quick to condemn Rice but not Suggs, Ray and Jamal. So it wasn't on video means we can believe our own truths regards of what the actual reality is. I"m hearing he just got cut so I guess you guys win. I'm still pulling for him. One mistake may have sadly have cost him everything. Quote

One mistake may have sadly have cost him everything. It has cost him everything. As best as I can tell he has been an excellent son and young man until this one moment when he lost it...probably because he was drunk.Football was his dream and that is gone forever. His name is ruined for life because that's how this society works. They will never forgive him. He is now the most famous poster man for Spousal Abuse.Being cut from the team and the indefinite suspension is right. I support that. The rest? All the life long hate....his name ruined forever? That's not right. They better put a suicide watch on Ray because he's not the person the world is trying to make him. He's lost everything and can't repair it. Quote

My dad used to tell me mistakes make the man, I asked him what he meant by that and he said we're men we are going to scree up but you have to live and learn from those mistakes. Did rice screw up absolutely. Does that mean he should be judged the rest of his life for that mistake absolutely not. Quote

He's been paid millions, hes played a game most can only dream about, he won a championship and I'd be amazed if he doesn't get a second chance in a year or so. His wife didn't get her skull fractured on the elevator wall - that could have happened. He is facing no further legal charges. Yeah, he might not be able to play football again but I'd say his life is far ruined. Stay out of trouble, don't lie or hide what happened and I am sure there will be opportunities for him down the road. Quote
thundercleetz Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Guys this has to potential to be really bad for our franchise, this has the potential to be really terrible: @BrodyLogan: Harvey Levin from @TMZ told @TonyPerkinsFOX5 they will release news tomorrow that the NFL knew about the Ray Rice video & turned a blind eye @KVanValkenburg: What happens in the next hour probably shapes the Ravens franchise for the next 5 years. Say you didn't see the tape and it better be true. @KVanValkenburg: B/c if you claim you were ignorant of it, and we find out it's a lie, that's even worse than admitting you cut him only when PR got so bad. As bad as it looks for the Ravens and Goodell, here is a good point: @KVanValkenburg: Let's say, implausibly, the NFL and Ravens couldn't strong arm the casino into giving up this video. Still no excuses for NJ prosecutors. Absolutely pathetic TMZ can get the tape but a state prosecutor cannot in the name of justice. Bisciotti has to be furious right now. He has worked so hard to build the Ravens reputation. I fear for Harbaugh is Bisciotti finds out this was a cover up. I wonder if Goodell resigns. Quote
tsylvester Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Mort has reported that the Prosecutor did have the tape, but refused to turn it over. That the defense team for Ray, also had the tape.... So how come neither the Ravens nor the league had it, sure, sure they didn't. this tinks to high heavens, that is why Biscutt is mad, he knows we aint dumb. Quote
varaven45 Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Well put guys. I hope Ray gets help and one day, some day, is forgiven instead of being crucified as the media and society continue to pile on. It's hard to imagine how one mistake could ruin a man's life and passion. Such a travesty and sad day, regardless of whether you are a football fan. 1 Quote
