cravnravn
What qb is worth what they are paid? And don't say manning cause when the lights come on he's a Dalton. Speaking of Dalton a 100 mil dollar an with a -2 and...kapanut what's he done? Matt Ryan?
oldno82
As I was told after pointing out a 34 game sample set I was cherry picking. I would say 4 games is really cherrypicking. [sigh!]
vmax
So is there some rule that would force the Ravens to draft a QB they don't like? No...there's just the odds against them landing another QB who can lead them deep into the playoffs.Teams in the league draft QB's, that they like, in hope that this is the guy. Take a good hard look at the large amount of QB's who can't deliver. It's a big list. The Ravens could go 10- years without a play maker at QB. Many teams do. It's easy for you to say part ways with Joe because you are not a Ravens fan.The rest of us sat through the years of crappy QB play here while the rest of the team was very good. We saw it get pissed away.I'm not in for another 10 years of futility. Give me the sure thing. Joe's playoff record is very very good. He can help the team win playoff games. Tons of good QB's flop at this.
papasmurfbell
Comparing Joe to a backup Qb that has started one game his entire career, laughable. Thats what we're doing now.Agreed. Compare Joe to Matt Cassel. Tornado700
when Joe (and the ravens) accomplished all of these feats, Joe was making about what he should be making as a starting QB. Joe (and the ravens ) would have never accomplished those things if Joe was under the contract he's under now. Joe takes up too much money and is not good enough to do what he did his first 5 years in the league. and IF he is good enough we are about to find out, because you want to give Joe all of the credit for the the Ravens success , well right now it is all about Joe. he got his money, now it's time to earn it. If Joe gets us to the playoffs i'll never say anything about Joe ever again. but if he doesn't it just proves he's not worth the money he's being paid. Gee, I wonder who this be?

Put yourself in positionto grab the person you like.So what you are saying is identify a college freshman to lead your team and then tank a season 2, 3 or 4 years in to the future to make sure you get him. You sir are a fucking idiot and we all get a little dumber reading the shit you spout daily. Sure once in a while you say something intelligent but then a broken clock is also correct twice a day so you do have that going for you. SMH.
papasmurfbell
Look at sophs who look like they may leave after their JR yr or JR's who will be leaving next yr. It is about biting the bullet for a yr. After the 2012 season you could see the 2014 and 2015 seasons weree going to be good QB yrs.

vmax
We have to stop turning every thread into a Joe Flacco thread. Accept it...since Joe came into the league he has more playoff wins than any other QB.And I do not want to concede any season...or 2...in hopes that some current freshman or sophomore QB in college right now will fall into the Ravens lap and be excellent. This is Severe Wrongness. The Ravens can do damage with Joe at QB.The Ravens have never been able to do this. I do not want to wait to get lucky 15 years from now.Joe + Ravens = Wins and playoffs.

papasmurfbell
When the guy has the largest contract on the team it will be discussed if he is deserving or not.
Spen
First of all I don't mean you, but there are topics which some users typical Joe posts are not relevant yet get posted anyway. Not to make any point but rather just to get attention. I have never been a big fan of Joe but you don't see me jumping in threads about the defense and posting about him. Sometimes threads naturally meander into something diffrent than what they were when they started, I don't mean those cases. I mean where the same people post the same thing over and over regardless of the topic.
