vmax Posted April 29, 2017 Author Posted April 29, 2017 Mel Kiper Jr. thinks Houston linebacker Tyus Bowser's long arms and great closing speed make him a perfect fit as an edge rusher in a 3-4 scheme. Quote

Unfortunately, a fight with one of his teammates resulted in his missing a month with a broken orbital bone. He overcame that setback to still garner second-team all-conference honors, leading the team with 8.5 sacks among his 12 tackles for loss in just eight games. Bowser played basketball and football over his first two years on campus. He played all games on the gridiron as a freshman (26 tackles, 5.5 TFL, 4.5 sacks) and sophomore (13 tackles, 3.5 TFL, three sacks), starting once each season.ANALYSISSTRENGTHS Explosive, quick-twitch athlete. Bursts out of his stance and challenges the edge. Good shoulder turn at the edge of rush and can dip and corner with very tight radius. Showed ability to play in variety of spots. Crisp change of direction ability. Took to his coaching and showed drastic improvement against the run this year. Played two years of college basketball at Houston which shows up with his footwork and fluidity when dropping into space. Has ability to pattern match tight ends. Light is starting to come on for him. Should have a big day at the combine.WEAKNESSES Undersized on the edge. May not have the frame to carry much more weight. Can be engulfed by size. Needs to get better with hands at point of attack. Still has issues where he looks like a basketball guy learning football. Production as pass rusher doesn't match his explosive traits. Pass rush is built around athleticism and not enough around skill. Has to get even tougher and more skilled against the run.DRAFT PROJECTION Round 1-2SOURCES TELL US "He's got all the athletic traits and explosiveness and none of the consistency of production you want. I still think you are kind of gambling on him if you take him too high but it's going to be really hard to pass on the athlete after what he's done this postseason." -- NFL general managerNFL COMPARISON Eli HaroldBOTTOM LINE Ascending pass-rush prospect who is still learning the fundamentals of his position thanks to a late commitment to the sport. Bowser's movement ability in space creates interesting possibilities for teams looking for a twitched-up toy to play with. Bowser lacks production, but his explosive characteristics off the edge will push him up the draft board and give him a chance to play well above where some scouts might project him. Quote
vmax Posted April 29, 2017 Author Posted April 29, 2017 Guy is smaller then Suggs McCrary got as light as 227 Quote
papasmurfbell Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 I think its more like people as myself that got fed up with paying 300 a month for cable, and have went to the fire stick and pay nothing per month now.And that is what cord cutting is. Join us in the real world. Dam no help for JoeThey needed a pass rusher to stop hemorrhaging points like they did last yr. The 3rd should be only on the OL. Quote

ravinmaniac52 Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 I don't like the Browns pick. I did get a chance to see a few ND games but I didn['t think he was all that. Seemed he had to put a lot of work into it, working at it. If you understand that Quote
papasmurfbell Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 Of the QBs left I like Dobbs. That said all in all Clear is having a great draft. Quote
oldno82 Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 Sounds like we've drafted 2 projects so far and no starters. Quote

tsylvester Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 So they draft 3 defensive players, one is a tweener and two Bama boys. Williams is a one trick pony, he doesn't have the football smarts to do anything more than rush up field... Hey hey Ozzie has to go... Quote
GrubberRaven Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 When you jailbreak something, does it use it's intended purpose? I love our firestick, but would love a workaround to get regular TV and sports. And that is what cord cutting is. Join us in the real world. No, when you jailbreak it you are getting programs not supported by firestick, Kodi is the biggest jailbreak, although I did have issues with the Ravens games, week 1 it worked fine, week 2 I couldn't stream in HD..Once you jailbreak it, you can get everything except local news/programing..the other thing is you must have high speed wifi, at least 45 mps, or your tracking will be off. papasmurfbell Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 That is why I would be very cautious with Decosta being the next in line. He has to answer for some of this. Is Ozzie just ignoring him? Quote
