He had sex with his friend's mother, some how their school, McDonough, got wind and called the police here in MD... I'm not sure you go bragging about a friend's mother even at that age. I imagine since the son and other kids were partiing on the roof and he went missing for a few hours, speculation and rumor set in, spreading across the school forcing the admins to call the police... At least, I hope it went down that way. Not sure I could restrain my self if I was in high school and a "friend" not only had sex with my mom but also bragged about it.....

Just because the media is not reporting it, does not mean it isn't happening....

I think too many people are/were spoiled by Ray, Ed and even Bart Scott being very demonstratve on the field, reports from the locker room and even in interviews. Leadership is more than spouting off at the mouth, and I think this team has leaders, they just don't spout off in the media, or make it very clear on the field. In the huddles, on the bench, in the locker room, you can bet there is leadership, signs of leadership.

Eh, should have seen this coming. Bought her way onto the squad, bought her "body" and now her son has to pay the cost.

I hope so, but time will tell.... So far, the defense has stunk aginst good offensive lines, no pressure. This puts the horrible secondary on an island = touchdown. As usual, the receivers still can't get off of press coverage, guess what each of those teams play?

There is a reason there were more "dynasties" in those eras than there are today..... less talent league wide....

Ok, how many of you guys were at the table when Joe threw the ball and it landed in the middle of the crab feast, filmed by M & TBank? Silly, just silly..... -
I don't see them beating the Saints, Brees will pick em apart, nor the Phins who are playing very well and actually have a very good offensive line. I see maybe, maybe 3 wins max, Titans, Jags, Texans, with a toss up being the Chargers, who have to come here at 1 pm, not easy for a west coast team, as we saw last week against the Phins. I will stick with my 6 win prediction until proven wrong.

Cody makes no sense at all, as you have all stated, he should be cut. Jeepers, even the new guy (I can never remember his name) who filled in for a while played better than Cody ever had. The defensive line, has been the one constant bright spot on this team and the depth appears to be sound. Maybe they want to get him some new reps so after the season they can trade him for a can of spam and half a saltine cracker. I am begining to lose "faith" in this the coaching staff, already have in the scouts, at least when it comes to receivers. After all the years of coaching changes and the crappy wide outs year after year, it has to be the scouts of Ozzie is just not listening to them.... Ten is a team that can beat this team, they have given the Ravens fits since they moved to Ten back in the air McNair days......

That is just the point; "cable" is as far as I will go to "pay" to watch. Between the game play being poor, to the anouncers being horrible in calling the games, there is no way I spend my cash paying to watch the NFL on tv. College is great, all the games are "free" with my service. I do agree RavenMadd, the college officials, espcially in the Pac-12 are bad. These are the guys moving up in the NFL, you can't be an NFL official unless you have done so in College for the most part. I know it is not as easy as most fans think, but it also isn't as difficult as the NFL and news media make it out to be. Oh and things are just going to get worse with the way it is going. The NFL player pool is fine, the talent now adays is far better and deeper than it has ever been because coaching at lower levels, even down to the pop warner leagues is far better than it has ever been. The issue is coaching in the NFL for the most part, not just head coaching, but position coaches; not very good. Then you factor in the changes to head coaches for teams, and the different philosophy, it is a big deal switching from a Tampa 2 defense to man based scheme. This is why Tampa, of all teams, traded away a very good player they drafted high, for a low draft pick. Oh well......... Back to the draft...........

Me too, with the pro game. Between the rule changes, the terrible officiating and my biggest issue, all the commercial breaks. After a kick off, after chanage of posession, after a score, then after the subsiquent kickoff, injuries, reviews, ridiculous. I much prefer the college game now,the atmospher is better and with as many as 10 games on at the same time, I can switch back & forth and rarely see a commercial. I can see a time when I no longer watch NFL football, something I would never think possible. I've been in "love" with the game since I was a small boy watching it with my father. Even night games now, I don't watch or watch very little of. Sleep is more important to me. If the Ravens are playing at night I might stay up to watch it to the half (like last night's game). Televisoon on the whole is much the same. I dvr shows now to get away from all the commercials....

That would be Kevin White, who I mentioned on the first page. Grub, this draft, is the underclassmen come out, will be the best draft for wide outs in the history of the draft; yes, you can quote me on that. Recivers today are mostly NFL ready, some, the top 15 wide outs, just need route work, easy to teach not even the Ravens can mess them up. A Db, since many think we should draft one, another Kevin White, he is from TCU, 5-10", 175, quick fast, recognizes route combinations quickly, good hands, good leaping ability. Saturday he shut down the much bigger and faster Kevin White of WVA. The Db White should be there in later rounds, not many will look at him over other needs me thinks....

She has no power to keep this quiet, but I agree, Goody rollled over in bed and asked to to issue the statement...

Basements have great sound reverb, awesome place to rock out some tunes.. Even better is the surround sound during college games; just like being there... Oh the Ravens are in the basement,,,, likely to stay there too.....

Back to the draft, the topic of this thread. Since it looks as if, as some expected, the Ravens will have a top 15 at least, draft pick.Jamison Crowder, wr Duke, tough, great hands, good leaping ability even for his height, 5"-9" 175, like Simth Sr, he plays much, much bigger. He is very quick, great jitters, runs great routes, gets off the jam with ease because of his quickness and strong hands. Yep, have to start with the offense, there is too much wrong with the defense to worry about drafting another bust safety, corner or medicore linebacker....
-
It's not all his fault, can't do anything about blowing out a knee... Then again, like many thought, he has not worked hard to receiver from the injury. Many questioned his toughness and willingness to work hard. It does appear he lacks the work ethic...

I know you are trying to contribute, and thank you. However, most of us know each other off the board, have for years. Most of us here know the game, the team very, very well. We do not need pictures to show us what some one is saying. Every team has plays designed to get some one open on any given play, running or passing. However, each pass play is deterined by the coverage of the defense. If Brown were to get open deep, he would get the pass. It all depends on the coverage, no always on the play called, even without an audible by Flacco. Some plays call for reading deep to short, others, short to deep, some right to left or left to right. If they get the proper coverage, the coverage they expect, then yes, the first read is the play they were hoping for. However, if they get a different coverage, then that play, again even without an audible, can change so the proverbial second option now becomes the first. Most here know this, and no, it is not just an opion, it is an informed opinion, there is a big difference.,

It has all been discussed here, no need to run over there, one just needs to pay attention.....

At least Smith could cover in college, and the Ravens had a bid of a caveat, since college is a bit lenient on PI calls, allowing the db's to hand fight all the way down the field. Elam never could cover and usually missed tackles in college because he hit people instead of wrapping up on tackles. I was big mouthed on him being a bust when they drafted him and doubt there will come a time when I will have to eat my words. Brown has been a big disappointment, for me & the Ravens. He hasn't seen this field this year and likely won't save an injury, he just can't get the system down, even in practice he is out of position more than in....
-
Um, yes because the offensive schemes with Charlie were outstanding, if you remember, he was making throws to wide open receivers who had quicks and could get away from man coverage with ease. Joe has not had that luxary, nice try Skip.
-
So you watch fist take papa, that explains a lot........
-
Come on papa, I showed you Brady's completion % compared to Joe's for the career, pretty close to even. This when Joe has had less to work with. And in your own words, He has had nothing compared to Brady. So give Joe a decent tight end and a good receiver, then we can talk. Yes, any player can have a good stretch, but doing so in the playoffs, on the road then in the Super Bowl, is much more difficult than in the regular season as Peyton Manning can attest. So hopefully the Ravens will draft a Phaoh Brown type tight end and atleast a very quick slot guy like Shaq Washington who can be used out of the back field on jet sweeps because unlike Torrey or even Jones, he can turn the corner on an ant, let a lone a dime..... Gey Kevin White and look out.....
-
According to the game book he did and so did McPhee, who I wondered if he played.... They were both no shows, well, Hill had 1 tackle, McPhee had 1/2 a tackle and 1 qb hit, but little to no pressures. Dumervil only had one tackle and no, zip, nadda, 0 qb hits..... or sacks.......
-
I happen to think with OD out, they should move Brown to tight end when wanting to utilize that position in the passing game. Just have him liune up there and let him run their routes. He would be a match up nightmare, eating up linebackers. He is currently useless as a wide out. I had higher hopes for him, maybe next year wil be better for him. Wasn't it Brooks who also did not get over in time in the first Bengals game when Green went for the game winning bomb?
-
It was not a bad move, last year they had one of the worst offensive lines in the league. What, you expect Joe to be the best in the league with that crap and no wide outs? Look how well Brady did last year, into the first part of this year with crap..... Again, Brady is my proof; give him crap for blockers and wide outs, Brady is nothing, yet you expect Joe to be betetr than Brady? Come on papa, you are smarter than this.
