GrubberRaven Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Maybe consolidate everything here? Wagner to Lions for five years... Garson and Marshall off the board... Quote
tsylvester Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Marshall got 2 years $12 mil. Josh McCown to the Cowboys. Curious to see what Wagner got, my opinion. he is over rated by the Lions and the Ravens. Quote
GrubberRaven Posted March 8, 2017 Author Posted March 8, 2017 Oh wow...guess they're poised to move Romo... Yeah Wagner had a good year, but what was the strength of our schedule? Quote
tsylvester Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Yeah, McCown reportedly won't sign the deal until Romo is gone. So I guess either traded today or released tomorrow. Quote
tsylvester Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Tyrod Taylor restructures and is staying in Buffalo.. Per Shefty Quote

tsylvester Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 I wonder, with Garcon going to San Fran, who has no quarterback, did they tell him Cousins was going to be the man or even Romo? Quote
papasmurfbell Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 I am seeing that Wagner is the richest RT in league history. Quote
GrubberRaven Posted March 8, 2017 Author Posted March 8, 2017 I am seeing that Wagner is the richest RT in league history. Think that's good or bad? Quote
papasmurfbell Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 For him it is great. Good for him. I think the Ravens should have locked him down a yr ago. Quote
tsylvester Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Ding dong Doom is gone, yippie! No teams wanted to trade for him... Quote
tsylvester Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 I am seeing that Wagner is the richest RT in league history. $9 mil per season, wow... Ravens should get a good comp pick.. Quote
tsylvester Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Well, they want him and have the money.. Bad move on his part, Hoyer as your quarterback on a rebuilding team....even if they get Cousins or Romo... Quote
oldno82 Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 For him it is great. Good for him. I think the Ravens should have locked him down a yr ago. Wagner was a competent RT but nowhere near being paid the highest amount for a RT in history. No wonder the Ravens passed. If they had gotten him an extension last year his price would have been way down from what he got this year. And there's no guarantee that Wagner would want re-sign here and wanted to test the market. It takes two to do a contract. Maybe the Ravens were willing but he was not. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 And that is my point. Don't let them get to FA to push their price up. This reactive policy of Ozzie's makes it much harder to get deals done. Quote

Exactly. i'm sure the Ravens try to be pro active in signing players before their final year. In general, nobody's dumb enough to do that in this sick FA market. The agents know the market...the supply and demand. Why sign an extension with a decent pay increase when they can wait a year and get sick money? And that's what Wager got. Probably 40% more than he's worth. I thought he was a good pass protector and average or below run blocker. I read somewhere he was rated the 9th best RT last year....andnow he gets #1 money. Quote
OutsideRzAcE Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Why isn't Brandon Williams signed yet? Is that good news for us? Quote
GrubberRaven Posted March 9, 2017 Author Posted March 9, 2017 I saw that he may be going to the Giants Quote
tsylvester Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Why isn't Brandon Williams signed yet? Is that good news for us?He has a lot of suitors.. . Side note, Torrey Smith was on wbal tv tonight with his young son promoting his anual basketball game. Sandusky asked the little guy who he wanted his dad to play for next year. His answer shocked both Torrey and Jerry; Seattle Seahawks.... Wonder if the mid over heard something at home... Quote
GrubberRaven Posted March 9, 2017 Author Posted March 9, 2017 Ravens still in the mix for Williams... Quote
