  1. lol, I was shouting the same thing at the tv when I was watching that INT return. I thought Landry was going to take it in for the score when he got the lateral.
  2. The most important thing for this game is: Matt Stover will miss a game winning kick in the last seconds and then turn round and moon at Irsay with "Once a Raven, always a Raven" printed on his ass. The next day Matt gets his own bronze statue outside M&T.
  3. Hop on, there is plenty of room for converts!

    Bret Hart

Basically Shawn Michaels wouldn't drop the title to the Hitman in whatever storyline they had going at the time. Shawn and Triple H basically were telling McMahon how to run WWE at the time. McMahon told Hitman he should take WCW's offer because the WWE couldn't afford him anymore but he had to lose the title before he left to Shawn Michaels who Bret hated in "real life". McMahon wanted Bret to drop the title to Michaels in Montreal and Bret didn't want to do it in front of his home fans so he asked McMahon if he could forfeit the title the next night on Raw or drop the title to Michaels a couple of weeks later. It was agreed but then came the "Montreal Screwjob" Michaels put Bret in a Sharpshooter and McMahon forced the ref to ring the bell for a Michaels victory despite Bret not submitting. That was the last way that Bret wanted to leave WWE. Defeated by his own move in front of his own fans even though he hadn't actually submitted. This was not one of those acts put on. In his book he says he was genuinely disgusted and he hit McMahon for real back stage. He finally made up with McMahon after Bret's dad died but he was very bitter towards McMahon and Michaels for years.
  5. That was an amazing game to watch and it was ironic that a defensive play actually won the game.
  6. Harbaugh was pumped the hole game. I loved how he did a lap of honour round the stadium high fiving all the Ravens fans who stayed to celebrate the W. You could see how much this W meant to him.
  7. 2007 was a great year for the O-Line and our blocking schemes. We got Gaither, Yanda, Grubbs and McClain that draft/supplemental draft. Great job Ozzie. Now go get us some WRs!

    Bret Hart

I was never a fan of Bret Hart until I read his book "Hitman". What a great read that was. I now can't look at Shawn Michaels or Triple H in the same way ever again. Shawn is a little bitch and now I see elements of what Bret Hart said in his book every time I see Shawn perform in the WWE.
  9. You have to look at the level of the competition he went against. Boise and Missouri were the only 2 decent teams he played against and he caught 4 balls for 24 yards against Boise and a little better against Missouri with 10 balls for 70 yards. Will probably get looked at some time in the 5th to 7th round were he would be worth a gamble.
  10. I would tentatively pencil in a 10-6 or 11-5 season depending on how the draft goes. If Ozzie blows it and our offense does not come out of the draft and free agency with at least 2 legit WR prospects then it becomes another 9-7 season in my books. Here is hoping he can bring back Mason as well.
  11. How do the rules work for teams cutting players during an uncapped year. Does the cap hit get held back until the league becomes capped again or does the cap hit essentially disappear because there is no cap? If the answer is the former then surely the Ravens will release Willis before he hits the big cap numbers and they don't feel the cap hit.
  12. There is bound to be some way we can trick Al Davis into trading us his 2011 1st round pick so that we can pick up Julio Jones as well. Those 3 Bama players look like beasts of the future in the NFL not to mention those RBs.
  13. This is the guy I want: Joe Haden http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JP7zv78fywA I watched him play FSU and I was very impressed. He is also a very good tackler and was physical against the run. Him and Webb lining up in our secondary would make me feel real happy for the next 8-10 years.
  14. Great player in his prime. If the knee is healed and his head is on straight then you have done well. The only problem is every QB knows that he will bite on double moves and pump fakes. If you are facing a few savy QBs the rest of the way then good luck with that.
  15. The only chance we have in this game is if we hit Manning so hard on the first play that he is looking out his earhole, thinks up is down, left is right, black is white etc. It has already been mentioned, he has ripped apart our best D's so god knows what he is going to do against this one. However, if ever there was a chance for our secondary to prove themselves, now is the time. I will be pulling for the upset.
  16. Perhaps they did try to work on it with him dc. Maybe that was the problem. He wasn't improving on those kicks so they decided to go in a different direction. I'm only speculating but without insider knowledge of the situation we can never be sure how the decision came about. I have to give props to Ozzie and Harbs. I like how they came out and admitted they had made a mistake. I think everyone knew Stover was on his last leg so to speak but they tried to go in a new direction and it didn't work out. I think I read somewhere that they really wanted Gano to win the job in preseason but Steve out performed him and basically won the job by default. That didn't work out too bad for the QB situation last season but unfortunately it hasn't worked this time round. Give Nugent or Cundiff a shot until the end of the season and then have another look in the draft. We should hopefully be getting some nice compensatory picks for the next draft so burn one on a kicker in the 5th to 7th round to get the guy they want, pick up an undrafted free agent and let them compete with whomever is signed in the next couple of days (if they make it to the end of the season)
  17. I think this is a case of Kokinis now wishing he had taken the blue pill:
  18. 7. Controlling the clock. Its simple if we continually put together 10-15 play drives that chew up 6,7 or 8 minutes on the clock and that end with a score, this will keep Cinci off the field and the D fresh, then we will win this game. Pure and Simple.

    Week 8

Here come the game losing penalties again!!!!
  20. I see them getting it worked out but not before we enter the uncapped year that the Ravens can use to clear dead weight on the cap in anticipation of the new deal being in place for the following season. That could spell the end for some of the other Ravens vets carrying a high cap number.
  21. I have been to a game in London and it was brilliant. I would love to see more football over here, but do I think there is room to make an expansion team in London, No. I went to the Saints-Chargers game last season and had an amazing trip. It truely was a great occasion and something the NFL has to keep going. They sold out Wembley stadium, around a 90,000 capacity stadium so the interest is there. The problem is it was full of people not supporting the teams playing. As a Ravens fan I was there and for every Saints or Chargers jersey on display around the stadium there was 10 times the number of jerseys of other teams. This would be the problem of trying to start an expansion team in London. Everyone that has interest in the game already supports another team. Would they commit to going to watch an expansion team 8 times a season. Unless they have money growing on trees then no. The problem is that only a fraction of the fans at the game actually came from London or within commutting distance of London, therefore the cost of travelling to London and staying there has to be factored in. A lot of people were travelling to the game from Europe. Hell the flights for me and my wife were £70 each (about $115). The tickets were $128 each. Then we had to pay for a hotel and so on. It quickly mounts up to 1 game a season max for me anyway. Factor in that an expansion team or even 1 of the crappy teams that might choose to relocate to the UK and the interest level of watching a team get their asses handed to them week in week out might not help things. In short, I like the 1 or 2 games a season in the UK and maybe hosting a superbowl once every 10 years would be amazing, but I wouldn't stretch it any further than that.
  22. If we are going to cut McGahee wouldn't we do it during an uncapped year where we don't have to worry about cap hits? So Willis will likely be gone in 2011.
  23. You know I have been thinking the same thing. I see the success Nolan is having in Denver and I wish we had brought him back, although I didn't think he was that good when he was here the first time. The only problem is he could have seen it as a step back in his career, coming back to the Ravens as a DC. That said, I'm not giving up on Mattison. Hopefully he can get us turned around.
  24. Not to mention that the Ravens big running plays went to Allen's side. Thats what happens when all you do is try to get up field after the QB on every snap. I would love to have Allen on the Ravens but too many times he got caught out and Oher was excellent for a rookie against Allen.
