oldno82
I'm not sure that bad teams remain bad simply because they don't have enough thugs. If this were the case, there were at least a couple of Bengals' teams that should have gone undefeated. Excellent point.

tsylvester
I'm pretty disappointed with the Raven's response, or lack thereof. They could at least issue a statement that the video depicts behavior that is 'deeply disturbing'. I'd really have the FO looking into how to cut him without paying him if at all possible. Failing that, let him ride the bench. Ok, here is one way to look at it. If, I stress if, she passed out due to alcohol and not from his slap (it has to be an upper cut tech, she is taller I think), then, the proper way to lay a person down is on their stomach. This way, should they aspirate, vomit, they will not choke on said vomit. Let us all step back and wait to see 1) if she truly was unconscious and not faking it 2) her condition was due to his slap 3) it was a slap, a knee jerk reaction done with alcohol involved and not a sober punch. I am not saying to excuse him, but we need all the facts. So many love Suggs, have looked past his multiple encounters with the law in regards to hitting his girl. With domestics, sometimes what looks like fact, is not fact.
Robjr83
You're right Suggs has a past... but the video makes Rice's situation different. Ray will get his day in court. The team will wait and see, like they've done in the past with former players.
cravnravn
Sorry, there are cameras inside the elevator and until we see that clip, she was just drunk imo. That video shown is damaging, I hope the elevator video comes out.
Geronimo
Some people just can't keep there word, it really is sad in these days and times that two men can come to an agreement and one of them simply just can't keep his word. A mans word is sometimes all he has and when he breaks it , well it really gives you some insight into that mans character.

Arnold originally screened for the role of Kyle Reese. Sort of on that note. How is Arnold going to be in the reboot of the Terminator series. I hope he is a cop in the station or one of the resistance fighters in the flash back. I do not want him to be the T-

vmax
In the event that Rice is suspended, the team would get a rebate – in cash and cap – in the amount of the total game checks lost by the player during the suspension, according to Brian McFarland of Russell Street Report."In Rice's case, a suspension would cost him $235,294 per game from his base salary of $4M and the team would get a cap credit in that amount," McFarland wrote. "The amount of any corresponding bonus forfeiture would depend on the length of the suspension. …In the event of such a suspension, the Ravens could receive a bonus forfeiture of $750K (25% of his $3M 2014 Signing Bonus proration) assuming Rice is forced to miss 4 games or less."It is important to note that bonus forfeiture is completely at the discretion of the team and not automatic. So, whether the Ravens were to pursue recouping some of Rice's bonus would entirely be up to them, but they have done so with lesser players and lesser offenses in the past."Rice was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, but it was postponed after the police department requested the prosecutor's office to get involved in the case. The new date has not been set.Even though the legal proceedings have been delayed, Billick noted that NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell does not have to wait to implement his own disciplinary action."I can imagine they will be very aggressive depending on exactly what the charge is and how it plays out," Billick said. "It's important to remember that the players do have certain rights, but the league, and in particular Roger Goodell, has a wide variety of options available to him in the conduct detrimental to the league. He actually doesn't have to wait for any sentencing, he doesn't have to wait for a trial for that matter, before he puts sanctions on Ray Rice." http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Late-For-Work-221-Ray-Rice-Suspension-Possible/7983e9a0-175e-4dd3-b943-c10d0b616bfd Maybe they can get some money back...''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' As for jail time, he would probably get some. As for the CAP hits, I'd like to see us get out of that but I don't see how at this point. What a freaking mess!!! And then there's this: "A press release from the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office says that Rice was indicted for “attempting to cause significant bodily injury, and/or purposely or knowing causing such injury, and/or recklessly causing such injury under extreme indifference to the value of human life.”
